#look... I love the idea of controling prosthesis or a virtual self with my mind but...#I'll put it this way... if you can influence a device with your brain... then you can influence your brain with a device#that's something that's getting closer to reality with each passing second#and yes... I would love to be a short fat busty rabbit in VR that can ACTUALLY experience and enjoy getting run over by a steamroller U///U It's DAMN cool.#Whatever impossible thing YOU are interested in experiencing... imagine ACTUALLY being able to experience it.#Like the idea of transforming from human into an animal or animal person or honestly anything else? Bam. You got it. Like the idea of melting into an impossibly relaxed puddle of goop? Yup. You got that too! Like the idea of feeliing what it'd be like for a friend to eat you? Yeah I'm looking at you *points* Someday that will be a thing.#I'm not going to say it'll be at that level within our lifetimes (though this is looking promising and sometimes tech develops at a breakneck speed depending on the circumstances) but it's really cool to think that... assuming humans continue to exist... SOMEONE will be able to experience those things someday.#...but yeah I REALLY hope the science and tech develop at that breakneck speed so I could someday get stomped on by a giant friend... feeling their beans smash down upon me and feeling my "body" deform and smush like clay into an impossible flatness that only gets flatter with each stomp. U///U#The idea of spending a night in VR just stuck to the bottom of a giant friends paw getting smushed continuously flatter with each step they take and feeling a sensual representation of what that could feel like... while they have fun with friends... maybe turning their foot over to check on you from time to time during the night? It's too cool of an idea.#@u@

I'm curious about the hardware and software setup.

That's pretty fluid and responsive for an EEG signal, I'm wondering if they're picking up EMG instead.

Of course, it wouldn't surprise me if the models in use these days are much better than those I used over a decade ago.
