Oof, terrifying and enraging but not surprising U_U

Heard about the plan in Florida, that recently got pulled due to public backlash, where the state government was going to utilize hundreds of acres of state park land for the express purpose of building golf courses and other rich people resorts. Sickening on the face of it but I immediately thought, "I wonder if any of the areas they were going to use for it required the draining of wetlands?" Because, y'know, those wetlands protect humans, animals, plants, the freaking existence of a solid landmass, and more by filtering water, mitigating waves/storm surge, providing habitats for animals, already endangered and otherwise, that are integral to the local ecology, etc etc etc

The powerful and rich (and those who mistakenly believe they are those things) will continue to do as they please, never listening to experts, scholars, or witnesses of smoking substations, because THEY know more and THEIR desires not only stand above anyone else's needs, but also stand above actual factual REALITY. huff!

Eat the rich. ...season heavily.
