just wrote up a long update for my buddy Abod's evacuation campaign. you can donate to his campaign at this link.

Good afternoon from Oscar! As I write from my couch in the so-called United States, life in Gaza grows more even dangerous.

Last night, Abod and I were messaging, when a quadcopter buzzed by, interrupting our conversation. These quadcopters fire into homes late at night, in order to frighten, maim, and kill random Palestinian families. Suddenly, there was a bright flash, and Abod's home lit up with bullets. In order to stay safe, Abod had to turn off his portable light, and shush his family, as smoke and dust filled their lungs. Thank God, nobody in their home was hurt!

This is every day life for the Hajjaj family. By chance, I was online when it happened. It makes me wonder, how much horror do they experience, that never makes it to our chatroom?

Unfortunately, progress on the Hajjajs' evacuation is slow. Abod's money was sent, but he has not received it in his bank account.

Yesterday, Abod's mother, Yousra, sent him money to help feed his family. This comes at great personal expense to Yousra, who is critically ill with blood cancer, and receiving expensive treatment in the West Bank. Please remember, Yousra is also part of this evacuation campaign, and must leave the occupied West Bank as soon as possible!

Now, for some good news. Although she was ill, baby Leen is recovering well. She has visibly lost weight, but is back in good spirits, giggling and playing. As she recovers, keep in mind that her home has no walls or windows, and is several stories off the ground. This is not suitable for a person of any age, but is especially dangerous for a crawling baby.

You can bring Abod even more good news by making another contribution to his campaign today. Even $5, $10, or a few dollars will do. Every single penny is crucial to evacuating his family and bringing them to safety.

Thank you for your continued support!

Love,
Oscar, Abod, and the Hajjaj family
