The situation currently happening w/ Furaffinity staff is downright awful. Banning a subculture off your site just because some staff don't like it (ABDL in this case) when that site has been home to many folks like that who are perfectly fine folks just get grouped in as a bad crowd entirely is shameful, especially a MONTH after the site owners death! Idk how that can't not look anymore disrespectful, especially after hosting a gofundme to help support the family of the deceased to just think its okay to start getting rid of people.

I don't care if people think that stuff is gross or w/e, more so that people can just be tossed under the bus suddenly and have it ruin alot of folks livelihood / communities so suddenly. If being at furrycons even from the start for me since 2015 has taught me anything, is that even people who are into stuff you don't like can be really kind and genuine folks!! I know cuz I've made friends with some folks who are definitely into things I don't vibe with personally, but that doesn't mean I'm gonna outright shun myself away from em!! And lumping everyone out just cuz a few people find that "disgusting" is absolutely shameful of what kind of actions this can lead to.

It just feels like alot of places online are becoming shittier each year and I hate it, it sucks. I wish the FA staff who did this esp after barely a month of someone passing away would have common sense to see why this is such a bad look. It's just so frustrating, man.

This sucks. I felt there would be a shift of some sort now that Dragoneer wasn't at the helm, but I expected it to take a while to kick in. Maybe a slow shift in a decidedly negative way. Nope. Here we are.

I had intended to park my stories on FA in the short term at least while I looked for somewhere else that would be a good fit for them, and my art, in the long term. I even started doing a bit of editing to my first story to make that happen. But this really makes me not want to put anything up on FA. I may not be into ABDL, and thus my work won't be affected by this, but I very much believe in the, "First they came for the X, Y, Z, and I didn't speak out" lesson, and I don't really want to support a site that does this shit. For those reading this, I may be looking more closely into Dreamwidth: https://rebarabbit.dreamwidth.org/ for posting my stuff now, even in the short term. We'll see.

I KNOW RIGHT???!?!?!?

People love to scream out kink positivity but the MOMENT it's something they're not okay with and isn't harming someone, it's suddenly a line to cross. The community with that is so backwards i stg

They're less common but it's so glaring with the people that act like animal genitals are somehow over the line too. Buddy you're fine getting off to characters with animal faces and paws but somehow a knotted penis is too far? C'mon.

I've lost count of the number of FA 'killers' that have cropped up, only to have some weirdly worded rule that ends up being used to target ABDL/Babyfurs.. then people seem to forget that site ever existed.

Babyfur's get so much hate, but they're also one of the canaries of the coal mine of the fandom.

Heck, remove babyfurs from all fandom spaces and how many cons fall apart at the seams?

Mmh! This was a good suggestion I hadn't thought of, but I've heard they're trustworthy before so I gave it a look. Sadly AO3's terms of service specifically disallows NON-fanwork creative content, so my stories would break TOS there as they're not based on pre-existing properties. It's okay though, I've started fixing up my Dreamwidth account to post them there! Thanks for the suggestion, it's much appreciated ^u^
