It's been a hell of a year for the Asheville Blade, the local journalism co-op I'm part of, and in many ways the hardest one we've ever faced. Two of our reporters were literally put on trial for doing their jobs. We're all working class trans and non-binary folks who've struggled to make ends meet in one of the least affordable cities in the country.
We've still done some amazing work - the link above includes a solid list - but we need support to make it through the coming year.
