Playing through Tacoma yesterday morning has really had my eyeing other short narrative games in my library, though, god. Especially eyeing What Remains of Edith Finch cause conceptually that one sounds neat!
Really really was a fan of how Tacoma was written and how it presented its narrative though! Going in knowing nothing but "its a sci fi game" was a good idea hahah
Did you ever play Gone Home? Same folks and while there are many things that low key drive me crazy about it (it’s inexplicably set in Portland when every details screams Olympia Washington) the basic “just go through a house and find shit” premise is fun.
Also Her Story and Immortality are super good too.
Yep, played through both it and Her Story for a Game Studies course unit back in 2020, actually! LOVE Immortality also.
