@Reedrill

after like, 5 years of not ever having scheduling or commitment issues with my tuesday tabletop group, we've had to end two campaigns prematurely in a row and i'm feeling some sort of way about it ;_;

like yeah, its unavoidable, shit comes up, GMs become dissatisfied with their own work, bit off more than they can chew, etc etc but its always like. bittersweet to see a tuesday night tradition for me through college and pandemic stuff to just go up in smoke not once but Twice yknow?

in reply to @Reedrill's post:

i feel like i may have bungled writing this post (since it was more of a commitment/"no idea how to make the rest of this campaign work and its making the GM anxious" thing as opposed to solely scheduling) but!

the fact that this happened two games in a row with this group, with two separate gms, suuucks a lot and i worry if i run smth itll happen to me too

whoops! sorry for misreading on our part, too!

and... yeah. it's a hurdle to jump the fear of throwing effort and personal investment into something that may not catch, especially if you've been hit with things tapering out like that ;;

if it helps: it isn't the same campaign itch, but doing some lightweight/one-shot games as between-campaign filler to help feel out how people are able to be present can help for figuring out a follow-up. (And in general: they're not bad to have on hand for "not enough people showed" gap games)
