My James Bond canon isn't necessarily that they're all different characters but that each movie potentially forks off into a proper ending. So when Bond walks off with Natalya at the end of Goldeneye that's a happy ending for the Goldeneye James Bond. He's just an archetype that spawns freshly formed with a history informed by his predecessors in each movie and I intentionally don't think about it that much afterwards.
