Because it's not just that the series is textureless, it's that the actual attempts to fill it with any texture were so loudly met with coordinated, overwhelming backlash from a really specific group that Disney blinked and doubled down on the texturelessness. And Disney was ALWAYS going to blink on this but the way they did and the and the resulting hollowness and ENCAMPMENT of chuds surrounding that trilogy ensuring you can NEVER have a measured conversation about it, just drives me up the wall
