When I was a kid, at computer camp (shut up) a guy had a book called Codex: Angels of Death, which was the first Warhammer 40k book I ever read. It had some of the coolest artwork and lore i had ever read, and at the end, a paragraph about the Dark Angels wounded, yet resilient, slumbering master. Locked in an unreachable chamber by the Dark Angels mysterious attendants, unbeknownst to even the Chapter Master, like some power armored reverse Sleeping Beauty.
I immediately got my own copy of the book, and became obsessed with this game. Me and a bunch of friends got into it and started buying space marines with our allowance and never really got to play a game because we never had time to figure out the rules. But i painted so many green metal soldiers. Someday when they wind up bringing back Leman Russ i might get that one too, since my childhood friend who played Space Wolves died of a drug overdose right after high school.
But finally, god, like...20 years later. After dealing with tons of sold out stocks and missed email alerts and sad tail-between-my-legs store visits... The Lion can finally join his soldiers. Argh I'm so EXCITED!
