The only thing in this library that can sign out books is the information/registration desk, and it can't disable the security RFID because CIRCit (our patron service frontend which uses the magnetic checkout pads) is among the disabled services. We can only checkout using Symphony, our back end software.

So I have been checking out books all day for an endless queue of patrons who all set off the alarm when they leave, and if anyone wants a library card that queue balloons in size due to the time it takes to register a patron.

I am so...tired.
