This is the floor plan of the real Minoan building underpinning the Greek legend of the Labyrinth. Many rooms don't even have doors - they were only accessible by ladder from the upper floor.
You can uh, see where the Greeks got the idea that if you took a wrong turn you might get eaten by a talking bull with paternal abandonment trauma.
