people get that cyberpunk is about overthrowing systems of power leveraged through tech, but what they forget is that a crucial part of it is that it had to be done by Funny Animal Enthusiast Modders in cs 1.6. the revolutionary of the new millenium was a guy with nothing but 500 megabytes, a polo, and a dream.

#cyberpunk #Hackers remains the only true cyberpunk media because of this #watch_dogs 2 came close but it failed to realize that their real world analogue is guys who still unironically have waifus in the traditional sense #dont talk to me about ready player one.#they are consumers. the guys im talking about are the people writing genre fiction in 50000 post long forum threads
