wow thats movies! it very much starts out feeling like a conventional thriller only to peel away by the end in a way i enjoy a lot. love how it entangles surveillance, colonial guilt and childhood, with a brutal clinical style that only highlights the humanity in every scene, playing with perspective in fun and subversive ways. highly recommend, the conversation between Georges and Majid is such an immediate standout that made me forget to breathe
