playing klonoa 2 and the culture and town based entirely around warfare and bombing itself is called "volk city." the skybox is littered with planes with two cabins, right next to each other like twins. what a fascinating game. what did they mean by this

its kinda nuts how much this sequel is blowing me away when door to phantomile was already so efficient, everythings turned up to 11 in the best way, from mechanics to levels to how theyre used. like even the story and presentation is already pretty great, but theres just something about phantomile that makes me love it just a little more

i guess its the way lunetea's veil is this grand adventure and a good romp compared to phantomile being this deeply intimate and vague story. but moon kingdom's act 1 is such a legendary level i cant blame them for not reaching it

i think Door has the stronger emotional punches and i prefer its tighter platforming (in the 2D sprite original, not the remake) but Lunatea expands on the original's potential in its setting and goes to some amazing places. Door hits harder, Lunatea hits smarter.
