DIRECTIONLESS LORE RAMBLING AHEAD
meet Tsuchi, my heavily traumatized monster hunter for a Monster of the Week campaign run by a friend.
Still need to figure out some stuff about her but I've got the vagues down.
Shapeshifter type that goes from FFXIV Au-Ra style semi-scaled humanoid to fully scaled Lamia/Naga depending on stress level. She puts on a cold and aggressive front to deter people making friends with her as she fears her curse will lead to their death at her hands, but is incredibly protective of people close to her, adopting the role of the dangerous and disrespectful-of-authority vandal to draw the law's attention away from her migrant family.
Scared of her own strength, she self-medicates from her curse by drinking small amounts of alcohol constantly, as it helps somewhat. This does not solve the other effects of the curse, such as the constant hunger drawn by the calorie consumption of a form designed to eat an entire human then sleep for twelve hours straight, so she's constantly aching as if deathly hungry, but its something she puts up with. The one time the ache was satiated was when her curse took over and she assumes she killed and ate some hiker, as she woke up in a ditch covered in blood and the hunger was gone.
(this reprieve lasted a week.)
She suffers for good reason, you can't just kill one person a week there aren't enough murderers and the like to satiate the curse easily and she does not want to eat anyone who doesn't deserve it (or anyone at all but if the curse is going to make her she'd prefer it be someone who is at least a terrible person)
Her tail constrict does the same damage as a grenade launcher and ignores armor and I think that's really funny in a mechanical sense. By level three she'll be immune to all damage short of an antimaterial rifle or other armor-ignoring ammunition. Getting shot by an RPG will do 1 harm (the same as getting punched by a regular person as a no-armor ordinary human) so yeah I think I did a pretty good job of making her a terrifying enemy that she doesn't want to be.
The cat ear gunshot earmuffs are not canon but I sorta miss their absence so we'll see if I keep em around in further art
they spawned as a joke from my friends mid-session so I had to give em them in the full design
