Music YouTube comments are the ideal of what I want from online interaction. Life stories about pieces of music left asynchronously for you to find while you listen to the music itself. I've even seen the family members of session players connect in the comments and talk about their parents who played together. I know there is a lot of garbage on YouTube, but it's the bright spot I hope I can keep as long as possible, because it's very calming and inspiring.

I always felt a bit corny about expressing thoughts about songs in such an emotionally honest way, having done that a little bit myself years ago. But nowadays I find that it's probably the most endearing part of youtube comments by a huge margin. It's either someone's personal analysis, their lived experiences associated with the song or the thoughts of nostalgia reminiscing of things they left behind and wondering where they are now, it speaks volumes to the power of music to be able to evoke all of that and more in a person!
