Honestly, it's been kinda the opposite! I am obviously fine with spiders but I still have my own set of other phobias so I Get It, and I try and be mindful and respectful of people who are arachnophobic.
Let's be real for a sec, Roxie's design is more anthro than arthro in a lot of aspects, so she's already probably less likely to twig an arachnophobe than a spider sona with a more true-to-life face, say. But I have gotten a number of people to tell me that Roxie is the exception to their aversion, or even better that I (and/or my passion for spiders) helped lessen how bad they get squicked out or even appreciate spiders more. Hearing stuff like that always feels pretty great.
