but the layout in 10 Ridgeview Court makes no functional sense as a living space. You walk into that little hybrid foyer/dining room set-up that the table completely dominates the traversible space, the front door opens in a way that can make heading into the kitchen awkward, the master bedroom is hidden through that weird little cubby hallway that you need to go through the kitchen the get to, the sizeable closet is on the far side of the en suite bathroom, the garage makes up like 50% of the first floor square footage. I fucking hate this map and it doesn't even have anything to do with the ghosts.

tldr lots of repurposed warehouses and industrial buildings where they can't change where the existing load-bearing walls and pillars, pipes and conduits, stairwells etc are located, but they sure can add walls in a configuration that technically meets residential standards.
If you imagine it as a suburban home on a big lot that got one or two extensions and a thorough remodeling it makes plenty of sense. But yeah, it's not an especially sensible home layout, especially compared to Tanglewood and Willow.
