Do we know yet if this requires both sides to consent? i.e., if I do not allow discord to see my contacts but someone else does, who has my number in their contacts, will it spit my account up at them? This was the extra shitty part about telegram for years, you had to attach a phone number and if ANYONE had it in their contacts it would auto add you.

I honestly wouldn't know. Discord doesn't have permissions to view my contacts so I avoided getting sneak attacked, but I imagine for people on the receiving end, they'd just see you pop up either as a suggestion or when doing a search for contacts using the new add friends feature.
