Cryptids are animals that cryptozoologists believe may exist somewhere in the wild, but are not believed to exist by mainstream science.

From my understanding, cryptids tend to have supernatural abilities, canonically live in the human world, and are intentionally difficult to find.

I'm not sure whether that was related or not. I don't understand why the universe (let alone a groundhog) would care so much about the manner in which Bill Murray's character wooed Andie MacDowell's character.

Sure, but Shrek? He appears to have all the trappings of civilization, language shouldn't be surprising. Except, if we look at his name, which is very clearly German in origin and decently descriptive of his nature. And he appears to use the name without any discomfort, implying that it is self-chosen. This means that he is naturally capable of speech, but has supernaturally learned English in addition to his native German. In this essay, I will...

Lol but the townspeople were all human and didn't realize it was him talking in the first movie until they turned around and saw him, implying that they expected him not to be able to speak!

There are some interstitial verses that involve hell, but no burying

"He came to town like a midwinter storm

He rode through the fields, so handsome and strong

His eyes was his tools and his smile was his gun

But all he had come for was having some fun"

"He brought disaster wherever he went

The hearts of the girls was to Hell, broken, sent

They all ran away so nobody would know

And left only men 'cause of Cotton-Eye Joe"

i'm not sure? he pretends to be Santa, but i always got the vibe that it was more of a mall santa type thing than an impersonation and that doesn't necessarily mean Santa exists in that world. but i guess the Whos learned about christmas from somewhere and i doubt there's a who jesus so humans have to be around there somewhere right?
