Local Alien Degenerate opens blog

Time Elapses. The Past Recedes. Do you do the Dinosaur?

Furry artist from the internet, ancient and seasoned at the eon-spanning age of 32. I've been around on Furaffinity.net forever, watch me there too, maybe consider donating dosh to me over on kofi or SubscribeStar, I am unemployable.

All characters are over 18, by the by, and you should be too to visit this page.

PS: A random SFW account, no relation to me, of course.

"yeah, i'm nonbinary for ✨ lore ✨ reasons. yes, it's very important to my backstory"

that being said, please don't upload my personal art to other websites without asking first! i really don't like that art of my fursona, an incredibly personal representation of me, was submitted to a website generally known for hosting nsfw content >w>"

They should add tags like that for everything, we need woman_(lore), human_(lore), bisexual_(lore), orthodox_catholic_(lore)

You should be able to get yourself added to the Do Not Post artists list;1 but ridiculously the official policy for anyone else who draws your fursona is either get them to list a DNP for that image, or play whack-a-mole with removals, because they won't blacklist characters.

  1. Subject to their admins judging your art sufficiently "good" to want to steal it. Arguing with one of their admins that if we don't want our art on there and they don't want our art on there it's ridiculous that they don't add us to the list got us nowhere :/

Omg im also nonbinary for the lore and wouldnt like to be sexualized in that way!!! Omgosh bestiessss
Jokes aside this is extremely awkward. I feel like, even if this would be impossible to enforce, a "if you dont feel comfortable even asking for permission, air on the side of caution" culture would be nice...

Oh, wait I think I get it. e621 has a problem of "tag what you see" irregardless of actual character identification. So I guess they made the "nonbinary (lore)" tag (amongst probably others) to cover for identity as distinct from physical characteristics.

anyway no yeah the culture of reuploading of art blows, I have it said under my art on FA "hey don't reupload my shit" myself. > w>

in reply to @Furufoo's post:

The only real way to keep your art off most of these kinds of "we're just archiving" sites is to add a "do not upload elsewhere" disclaimer on every dang piece. Otherwise, you'll be chasing e621, furbooru, et;al sites for the rest of eternity signing up, setting a DNP, and trying to convince staff not to let your stuff on their site.

And even then, some just don't care and will scrape your art anyway.

Almost as bad as the AI debacle so far as that's concerned, where they believe "just because it's public, it's free to take".

“These terms are to me way more offensive because it implies the relevant field of study is not about Gender Expression, but instead Sexual Mimicry.“

Oh my God this is the first time I’ve ever seen anyone else say this. Thank you. This has been one of those things to make me feel fucking crazy in being seemingly the one person on Earth to feel that there’s a problem here.

(But also this stuff isn’t my business personally - the slur which for my trans gender I can expect to have used on me whenever I step into an NSFW space is a different one, with a different flavour of objectification behind it :) )
