A little something for my work with my scifi, the Zevash codex. There's flavor text below the break!

In 3956, Former Elect-Matriarch Ardena Ty'zoto was happy to step away from public life as a leading politician in her precious Interstellar Coalition. After leading a brief first-contact campaign on the world of Sulgen, she took the break to prioritize her own research into the Hadentria Super Organism which had prompted the Sulgen induction into the Coalition. After several high profile run-in's including a space station incident in the Gyrasian's colonization and exploitation zone, Ty'zoto's endless distractions from all of the political drama had become terminal for her career as a politician and thought-leader for the Epostile. Following a vote which saw another Firefletch elected in her stead, Ty'zoto's withdrawl from politics was a much-needed break.
The incident on Sulgen violated her own rules regarding first contact, ones she'd drafted as part of the foundational documents of the Interstellar Coalition after inducting the Accipiter into the fledgling democracy nearly 100 years ago. Seeing as she clearly needed time to get her head right and refine her political theory about interventions against known threats, Ty'zoto elected to prioritize work against the Hadentria Super Organism to prepare counter-agents that could be deployed by small crews in self-defense. This lead her to commission a custom laboratory ship from a Mesmian shipyard known as Galaxaport, whose work in semi-autonomous vessels was among the best of the best in Coalition territory. Her vessel took off just a few short weeks prior, and she and her husband Yao immediately began cross-referencing and analyzing data from Coalition listening posts and FTL relay stations.
The data were far from clear at first, but a trend began emerging that had startling consequences for the Accipiter Homeworld, as one of their immediate next-choice colony worlds appeared to be harboring an infestation of the dreaded biologically assimilating Super Organism. Following trace signals in the Accipiter's provisional colonization and exploitation zone, Ty'zoto and her husband found their way in orbit of the yet-to-be-permited resource exploitation claim on the Prime Candidate Planet, designated as Utak. The Accipiter had an Interstellar Law violating military base and research lab on the planet, which had elected to identify the then-experimental craft Ty'zoto had been using as a Laboratory Vessel as a potential spy or hostile contact.
The crashing landing went badly for Ty'zoto and her crew, but they lived. Her indignation was leveled at the Accipiter's foolish experimentation on Hadentria Super Organism live biomass as part of black-budgeted, secretive bioweapons research. The laboratory would eventually be closed, but not before its evacuation and scuttling by the researchers who swiftly exfiltrated and fled to a research station known as KN-01. They'd avoid the full extent of their research being discovered by Ty'zoto and the Coalition Government for a few short years, until the Tanu would unexpectedly attack the station, bringing about even larger and more dire consequences for the Accipiter and the Coalition. That research would find its way to other worlds in the same batch of exploitation permits approved in 3982, including a little known mudball designated as Zevash.
