So people know by now probably if they've looked at my character (or read my other things about my intersex adventure) that my balls are kind of on wrong. I have a weird shape to the attachment point of my dong and balls which is a classical sign of Intersexing / DSD's, a very minimal taint with almost no protrusion and a weirdly angled attachment point and shape for my scrotum. My testicles are anchored to me oddly such that they come out at sort of a 45 degree angle and anchor above my shaft, normal men have a 90 degree angle and their balls usually connect just below the center of the shaft. In my life I've had a testicular torsion which required surgery to correct at 17, and years before that we kept having this 'mysterious hernia' that kept forming and resolving.
As it turns out, that 'hernia' may have been the vesicles contracting due to the testicles being partly undifferentiated, meaning half the tissue is testicle, half of it is ovary, resulting in ovotestis. We've mostly pinned down what is happening, and I've been thinking about my experiences and body image / gender dysphoria / weird sex vibes in relation to this. One thing is that my testicles no longer droop, after gynecomastia and hypogonadism set in and my estrogen levels began approaching female norms without my intervention. My [gonads] can now go inside of me by sitting down and they're really quite tender and sensitive at certain times of the month. Ejaculations are weird, a ton of precum happens first in a spasmy-kinda orgasm, and then I'll have a male orgasm usually shortly after. When my balls droop at all, it's very painful and usually a sign of my weird hormone cycle running its course.
All of this is to say that backsack and taint don't hit like they used to. If a guy has a very differentiated taint in furry artwork, it feels somehow dysphoric to me. The same can be said of drooping balls, those look painful to me. After looking through a lot of porn, I've noticed artists portray these various cocks in a number of ways and often the more masculine the figure the more traditionally male the genitals. I think this trend reflects a larger demographic note about tendencies in the gay space: the trans and gender queer kids tend to have a lot less distinctly masculine genitals. It's enough that the small balls thing is almost a giveaway that someone may have a less masculine genital presentation / their models have less masculine genital presentation. It's super interesting to me because I've struggled with this only recently. Dysphoria is very weird, I wouldn't recommend picking it up, terrible little hobby.
My closing notes are that the distinct lobes/orbs of ones testicles are also dysphoria-producing for me. Because my scrotum is so tight now, I rarely have the 'two visible balls' thing going, it almost looks like a uniball, and unpleasently my genitals when non-erect look underaged.. another feature I share with many trans women out there. I'm a shower, so it's clear when I am horny that I'm an adult, but boy howdy does it not look that way.
