I love fishing. With naught but fiber, a splintered bone, and patience- our ancestors fed themselves and those important to them with the bounty of the lake, pond, and river.
Waxing poetic about fishing aside, I just wanted to congratulate a couple of guys who tied my state's Black Crappie record- then a couple hours later broke it! 3+ pounds for both of them.
I'm pleased to see my state's waterways doing so well to produce such hefty and bold fish! I hope to get my own rod and reel with a bit of tackle to get started applying old fishing knowledge that's fed my ancestors in these same lands for generations.
If anyone has any catfishing ideas and fun ways to remember how to tie fishing line to sinker and then to hook, let me know! Unfortunately that knowledge didn't get a chance to get to me.
