Meet Gamecenter-chan! The locals have shortened her name to Gaychan, appropriately. I felt like we needed a neesan mascot for Game Center, one of Norcal's beloved local fg gatherings (it's a garage run by Myung and his crew, and where we run all our local Xrd events), and true to the spirit of GC community, she's a total scumbag. Do not be fooled by her cute face. Everything you need to know about her is said through her choice of fighting game mains. (She basically thinks any fighting game made after 2006 is garbage.) So far, the reaction to her from the locals has been something along the lines of, "Oh my god, what is her problem, and also I would die for her." In more serious sentiments, she is my tribute to my local FGC, which I adore so much, and is an amalgamation of some of the strongest opinions and vibes and pieces of history that characterize our region.

I've got some Gaychan-related merch in the works: 2 posters immortalizing two quotes from two of our most iconic Xrd players (shoutouts to Bears and Daymendou); stickers; decal for a vending machine; prints; and, the thing I'm most excited for, a cardboard cutout of her doing the Chun Li side of this infamous Justin Wong photo so folks can pose with her lmao.
