I've been running a private Xrd learners' server (focused mainly on serving folks of marginalized gender identity) called the Hoely Order for the last 4 years now, and it's been a very successful experiment and learning experience on mutual teaching/growth-oriented community building with what started as a tiny group of friends who just wanted other beginners to play with, to a bloodthirsty cult of mostly trans lesbians who just want to beat each other up in this one really fucked up video game. It's been a helluva ride, and I cherish my server dearly.
Anyway! Recently, wanting to help some of our newer players learn how to learn matchups, I curated some skill appropriate player matchups between server members and gave them study guides on how to prepare for something like this, with about two to four weeks of prep time depending on which group they got shuffled into. You can watch the first set of exhibition matches here.
Group 2 is up tonight at 8 PM Pacific time, over on my Twitch channel. Please tune in and cheer on some HOs!
