@metaregress asked:

Can you hook ,e up with some of your favorite one-hand games from when you were doing that a while back? Currently one-hand gaming (thanks skateboarding lol) and looking for recs.

Oh geez! I'm sorry to hear! Take care of that hand/wrist!

Here's the recommendation list from the fine folks in my stream. There's a lot to pull!

Of course, I couldn't play everything + there's other games I'd recommend. Here's some personal recommendations though:

  • Dicey Dungeons - Puzzle roguelike using dice and dice-adjacent mechanics.
  • Slay The Spire - Deckbuilder roguelike.
  • Slice & Dice - Puzzle Roguleike using dice, but more focused on altering the dice instead of the rules like Dicey Dungeons.
  • Mahjong - If you're itching for some long-form learning to make up for fighters.
  • Yoiyami Dancers - Rhythm action game somewhat similar to One Step from Eden, if you've played.
  • Chesspolsion - Bomberman with Chess Pieces; Puzzles, Roguelikes, Arcade-esque. A little better if you have access to a second-hand's finger, but not required
  • Inscryption - Deckbuilder Roguelite that goes places.
  • Vampire Survivors - Simple survival game with numbers-go-up satisfaction
  • Effectively any visual novel, but I played through an FGC friend's one: MDF: Magical Defense Force - Guy finds himself on the other end of a magical girl anime trope and has to deal with the management, and battles, of the forming team.
  • Railbound Train-based puzzle game.

User Addendums

For any further games recommended from comments:

  • Brotato One of the more successful Vampire Survivors spinoffs. Arena and rounds-focused rather than sheer long-term survival.

Awesome, thanks! A few of these I've brushed up against before but forgot they'd work one-handed.

VNs are a good callout; I'm deep in Umineko but once I finish it having more on deck would be good.

I'd actually started futzing with Mahjong a bit in FF14, so it could definitely be fun to pursue further now that I have the bare-ass basics.

Turn-based/card stuff makes total sense. I'd already clocked LoR (natch) and chess, but thanks for helping me push that notion further!
