Very miscellaneous thoughts and ramblings about fighters. Adding the Read More to save real estate.

Guilty Gear XRD: I've felt really good about my play as of late, but it's also the longest consistent streak I've had of feeling positive, hopeful, and see where my lines of growth are next. There's clarity. I honestly feel, if the money allowed, I could get Top 8 at a major if I traveled for them a bit more. Considering running crowdfunds, per recommendations, but eh.....

Guilty Gear +R: In turn, I've barely touched this despite being in such a strong and inspiring state. I'm happy just being on commentary for now though, but I can't coast on XRD knowledge any longer for my gameplay. Likely will lean a little harder into +R comms. After commentating with Klaige, I want to be able to tap a little more into that same knowledge.

Street Fighter 6: I took a 2-ish month hiatus. Honestly, the input interpreter is becoming a make-or-break for me. Also, I just don't get the game. The theory is there, but then when something is weird and I review the replays, the replays also mirror what I knew and what I researched, but I still got a wrong output. I'm dabbling in it again, but for two reasons: keeping my wits sharp for potential commentary, and playing it helps me understand XRD better and has made me an significantly stronger player.

Granblue: Folks seem to really be enjoying the beta! Which, phew, that's excellent. I was extremely worried after the prior beta and most folks in my circle leaving the festival with sour grapes. Really cheering for this game!

UNIST: Out of picking up any new fighters, this has my interests more. I really wanna give it another try. I still love watching it and even dabbling in it every rare moment. I feel a bit more interested in understanding the mechanics better.

Tekken 8: I'll likely flip a coin on release, assuming folks are happy with the netplay quality. I really fell in love with Tekken 7 during lockdown (and started a whole blog detailing my learnings), so I wanna dive into it again.
