Hey all, I'm really tired and kinda depressed today, so I don't feel as if I have the energy to write about SF6's new cast at the moment. I know, I'm so close to the end of Talkin' Streets and I'm taking a selfish pitstop, but eh, it happens. So I'll just ask a really dumb question of anyone willing to answer: Who would you say is your favorite Street Fighter of all time, and who is your most disliked if not outright hated? Furthermore, is there any character you consider underrated and deserving of more attention, and is there anyone you feel is overrated for whatever reason and wish everyone would shut up about? Here are my choices:
Favorite: I've a bit of a hard time deciding on this one, but I think end of the day, I would probably say Dudley. He's the right mix of an extremely awesome design, fun and strong moveset, stylish to watch in action, a memorable personality that cuts the line between respectful and snobbish, and he's my favorite character in my favorite game of the series, so I may be a little biased. Runner-ups include Dan, Cody, Sakura, Elena, and despite all my bitching about Bison having well run his course as the series' ultimate threat, I still like playing as him when the chips are down. So... since it also has Elena, I guess the season 2 pass is what I wanted after all. Sheeee-yit.
Least favorite: I could lazily write this off as a three-way tie, but since I think there might actually be potential for SF6 to redeem Rufus somehow, it comes down to Necalli and Kage... hmm. While I think Kage might be a real stupid idea based on an idea I already wasn't crazy about, he's so insignificant that I can mostly just dismiss him. I'm going to say Necalli wins the loser award because he tried to be a big deal and ended up Hindenburging the fuck out. I also thought his default outfit was dumb with his "tentacle hair," or at least he couldn't pull that look of as well as Cala Maria. He looks slightly cooler when in V-Trigger mode, but I dunno, he embodies a sort of late 20th century edginess that I honestly don't miss in games today.
Most underrated: Hakan, my sweet beautiful Hakan, you will once again gleam in the sun someday my shiny, oily champion ;_;
Most overrated: Sorry for the long post, but I had a roundabout thought process on this one. I went through a period of hating on Cammy for a number of extremely dumb reasons (too high-tier in the 21st century, very pesty to fight against, an icy personality, a baffling refusal to wear pants until 6) but I have recently softened up on her after realizing she's one of the most important characters in SF lore history and the Dolls' overall story is a horribly tragic one that finally got a (mostly) happy ending. She's become endearing the more I took a close-up look at her character and I can't say I dislike her anymore, though she is still a royal pain to fight against sometimes. So then I turned this barrel over to Akuma due to his appearances in 4 and 5 kind of taking the piss out of him and riding out the same "must fight strong warriors" thing he's had going since the nineties, but this has ALSO softened up due to 6 subtly making him cool again and realizing I always find him very fun to play regardless of him being a shoto at his core. So, now? Hmmmmmmm... I am going to confess, I've never been the biggest fan of Vega. I've always found him awkward to play, his voice annoys the hell out of me in a fight, and he's pretty static on the whole "the ugly deserve to die, beauty is the only thing that matters" shtick. I simultaneously dislike him for being fucking OP in the SF2 days and for being shit-tier in both 4 and 5, but I won't say no to a returning character I'm meh on if 6 can make them interesting again or for the first time. So in "Claw's" case, I hope they can at least make him a decent character who isn't bad enough to feel like a waste of a slot again. I also want him to have SOME new thing in his overall story or personality, because when Balrog gets more goddamn character development than you do, you might have to step back and reassess your life choices.
So the tl;dr on the above:
Favorite: DUDLEY
Least Favorite: NECALLI
Most Underrated: HAKAN
Most Overrated: VEGA/CLAW
Well, this post still ended up being longer than expected, but I wanted to do something a little different since I don't feel to writing on Jamie and Kimberly even if I like 'em. At any rate, if you want to give your four answers, please write in, I'd be delighted to hear them.

Most Liked: Jamie
Despite being a newcomer, he really found a place in my heart as a character. Extremely cool design, fun gameplay mechanics, lighthearted, music and dance-oriented. He's just the embodiment of a good time with flair, and is a breakdance-fight character that previous fighters have struggled to also make effective and stylish, such as Elena and Momoko.
So the whole package just jives really well with me. Also he's hot? We stay winning.
Most Disliked: Necalli
Necalli Culkin is just a unnoteworthy, forgettable character. If you remember him, no you didn't. But if you really do, it leaves you scratching you head. What are they thinking? What is he supposed to be doing?
Even my friend who is a in-depth buff about Street Fighter lore is even like "He wasn't cooking. He never left the freezer."
Most Underrated: Hakan
What a extremely rad, unique, and fun character... and he just never got to shine (outside of the whole oil wrestling thing). He turned Kara-Cancels* into his actual, intentional mechanic. Capcom is seldom ever that brave with intentional designs. Now that they are with 6, I feel he'd have a lot of fun in the system.
Most Overrated: Juri
I don't get her appeal. I guess she's kinda... edgy? But funny? Folks like how she looks, but i can think of a number of other SF characters I'm more physically attracted to. She's maybe a Street Fighter version of Harley Quinn? I dunno! She just never appealed. I like the official You Got This, Juri comics, but I feel that's not representative of her character, outside-looking-in. Maybe if I played SF6 World Tour, my feelings would change?
