and i say to them: you are fooling no one, because if you manage to keep the psychological edge, that matters less than you think

brought to you by me seeing people say Lily SF6 isn't good followed by her showing me exactly why you fear poking grapplers

never ever trust character downplayers. never

(i do kind of wish i had the chops for lily hours though. unfortunately i like my characters a little more upfront mobile, which is why Shermie is so much fun in kof 15 lol)

People quickly conflate "my character is one of the weaker in the game" with "They're F tier."

Being at the bottom*, which happens to be B-tier, is still a spanking good character with solid options and potential. See: Guilty Gear XRD.

*This is a general example. I have no idea where Lily is at nor do I have enough experience to give an opinion.

Yep. I honestly don't know where Lily is either, I've been solidly ignoring tier lists for SF6 for a while and probably won't take any of them even close to seriously until at least a year goes by

but a thing I do wish people were better at is understanding that tier lists are 1) subjective, and 2) do not account for the actual tier list that you should care about, aka "what playstyles/tools are actually the hardest for you personally to deal with psychologically".

Bullet BlazBlue being one of the lower tier characters in that game does not matter if I get heat up 2, delete a good chunk of your life, and scare you so much that I can continually run you down. Similarly, Guile being a powerful defender won't save you if I do the classic SJ "out-Guile Guile" and break your composure enough to get in
