Question of the Day!

How's your Warrior of Light's relationship with the Leveilleur family?

Alphinaud and Alisaie, as stated in an earlier share, are for all intents and purposes a cross between Mirita's younger siblings and her actual kids the way she dotes on them; she has no preference for either twin and basically spoils either of them whenever she can. She gets along pretty well with Ameliance, and is initially on very bad terms with Fourchenault given the events of post-Shadowbringers into Endwalker and what happens with the twins asking for aid from Sharlayan, to the degree that she flat-out tells the twins that they are her family, blood be damned. They come to an understanding afterwards, but things are still a little cool between them.

Khorijin is much in the same boat, but is a bit more reserved toward the twins. She admittedly likes Alisaie a bit more than Alphinaud and goes out of her way to teach Alisaie some RDM tricks from time to time, as Khorijin's style of RDM is also influenced by her DRG and DRK training. Ameliance gets the same respect as an elder Borlaaqi woman would, and surprisingly she is a little faster to warm to Fourchenault after Endwalker is over but is initially just as cold to him.

Rija definitely goes for embarrassing big sister energy to the twins, mostly Alphinaud because he's easier to fluster. She and Alisaie get along all right, and she often gets Ameliance to tell her and Mirita embarrassing stories about the twins in their even younger days. Of the three WoLs she has the best understanding of Fourchenault's cold calculus but is also the most disapproving, and makes herself scarce whenever conversation needs to be had with him.

Insofar as the reverse goes:

  • The twins look up to all 3 WoLs a lot, but Alphinaud is honestly most attached to Mirita and Khorijin, since they had his back for all of Heavensward and really helped shape him into a more thoughtful and careful young man. Alisaie warms up to Khorijin faster than Mirita, mostly because Khorijin is more serious and action-oriented but also far more cool-headed in a way that Alisaie really admires, but the events of the Binding Coils help endear Mirita to her. Rija is basically the cool big sis in both of their eyes, close but not close the way Mirita and Khorjin are.
  • Ameliance has basically never treated the WoLs as anything less than trusted sisters, so to speak. She knows that the twins really look up to them, but also knows in that way that mothers do that of course paragons need their own support, and she's more than happy to listen to Mirita, Khorijin, or Rija vent about problems they can't talk about in front of the twins as well as give them funny stories about the twins.
  • Fourchenault knows that he made a terrible first impression after all is said and done with Endwalker, and so he keeps his distance from the WoLs save for Khorijin, who eventually tells him that while he was an absolute dunderhead about things she understands that he wanted to keep his kids safe and didn't trust the WoLs to do it given all the danger they run off to face. He is eventually able to carry on civil conversation with Mirita and has accepted that Rija will probably never speak to him unless it is a matter of life or death.
