fighting game players will spend hours in training mode trying to figure out an answer to something they could have just asked for help with
one of the things that i enjoy about playing fgs with people i know is being able to both ask and be the sounding board when shenanigans are afoot and either my opponent wants to know how to beat a certain option or i get caught by an option i don't know how to handle.
sometimes the answer is still "shit, i dunno", but the only way to find out is to ask.
there's nothing more helpful than asking people how to beat their own character
just ask for help!!! people are almost always stoked to help you beat their character and get stronger in my experience.
