thinking about the tension between "everyone hates you if nobody clicked like on your post" anxiety and not wanting to be a fucking Brand
i struggle a lot with the twitters and the tumblrs and mastodons and facebooks; end up deleting each and everyone of them. i wonder some about what networked communication would look like untainted by capitalism; because it sure wouldn't look like this
it's skinner boxes all the way down. falling into the the bottomless pit and trying to grab each reward lever to save yourself but none will save us.
