i've been picking at it and digging around in it for the past week and a half it feels like! what is it, you ask? well it's a sort of frontend for, at least in this moment, this rich collection of 90s and early 00s media discs, games, video collections, interactive encyclopedias, photo collections, and more. there are mostly CDs on here but you can find other discs and more stuff beyond that as well. almost every file on here is sourced from archive.org
i've looked through discs which present to me, in varying formats: pictures of nature, a brief history of the country of china, hacker BBS phreaker and hacker phile collections from the mid-90s, star trek interactive media discs, and at least one disc that was just full of amiga generated graphics. very cool stuff, i plan on digging through this entirely more in the near future.
