i'm so glad i never made an attempt at full-time streaming, it never would have worked for me
seeing people whose performance was aspirational to me plateau, burn out, and start applying for more stable employment really drives home how much i would not have been able to keep up the hustle or break through that barrier without extreme amounts of luck
i would have been so depressed and exhausted
Seeing folks who deserve a chance work themselves to the bone but never get noticed is heartbreaking. It takes so much effort just to have the opportunity to roll the dice with streaming.
As a streamer nerd. Yeah it's insane. I'm deliberately never trying to do it full time. It will forever be a hobby.
Though that is mostly due to disabilities preventing me from working full-time. But if I could do that... I doubt I'd even stream as a hobby.
