if i express an opinion about something i like or dislike without going into detail, i don't think there's a lot in it to get comments saying to me, directly, "well i feel the opposite way"
that's great! my feelings about a thing don't have to be yours. you can post about your feelings on it, too
but saying that to directly to me, it's like, okay? great? glad for you, i guess? what am i supposed to do with that? i'm not going to try and convince you that you should(n't) like it, and it's not going to change my opinion, so why this forum
maybe i should just lock comments on all of my posts, idk
