it's hard to find something i'm interested in riding out

everyone seems to like witch from mercury; maybe i should try that

eta: i have been into anime since the early 90s, so i am aware that anime is a medium, and that genres are varied; i am lamenting what feels like a general dry spell for me of stuff i'm really into that isn't finished or between seasons

most of it's kinda whatever! it's a whole medium

witch from mercury is gay and neat and new, people smarter than me like it for more reasons than that but im kinda still chewing on it

if you just want to see the gayest shit you've ever seen, I recommend madoka magica and starlight revue in that order, but g-witch is very good and you've still got time to catch up before the last ep of the season comes out if you want ;p

Ya can't look at anime and just think "I like all of that" cause, like, it varies, ya know? It's like music, or film, or tv shows, there's too many different kinds of anime to like all of it. If ya want a varied list of recommendations from my years of watching anime, let me know, I can drop ya a few!

i used to work for crunchyroll, i'm a historical anime fan, but lately i've just had a hard time finding stuff i like.

i loved the beginning of SPYxFAMILY though the last few episodes have been kind of slow, and i love Fuuto PI and Pop Team Epic, but i haven't found a good slice of life anime since Yurucamp, and i'm short something more action-y at the moment

Ohhh I never knew that, nice! Sorry, if my comment sounded presumptuous, then.

From the current season, Gundam is deffo a good one, for actiony stuff. I'd also throw my hat in with the Bocchi the Rock! enjoyers, hell I'd say it's the best show of the year, for a plot-focused slice of life show. Also, a good actiony show from summer is Lycoris Recoil. And everything else I watched this year I can't even think of so 🤷‍♀️

OH. There's also Call of the Night, which is kind of actiony? I'm honestly unsure of what genre I'd place it in, but it was good enough for me to check out the manga and get hooked on that, so read that how you will lmao

Witch From Mercury is solid. It’s very Gundam, but intentionally gay this time. So it’s worth checking out if you like political intrigue mixed into a giant robot anime.

My favorite of the new shows is Bocchi The Rock. It could have been very cliche, but the comedy, voice acting, and music elevate it to something special.

And Pop Team Epic is “Shitpost: The Anime”, and season 2 was a whole lot of fun.
