trans mom, wife, composer. The now-retired speedrunner who asked the axiom verge dev "why?"

once upon a time, there was a speedrunner who was very good at a particular old video game. the best, even

they were also an aspiring musician

they are also a pretty bad person, eventually becoming banned from speedrun.com in it's entirety, as well as various marathons for their behavior, after which they attempted to retreat entirely into their music career

they were especially proud of apparently having worked with a grammy-winning producer

the most recent work they released was the single diss track they put out when they got banned from everything, well over a year ago

it looks like they're totally inactive now but i did find an interview on a totally real we swear music news site from a few months after, where partway during the interview they stop to brag about having been a speedrunner, even dropping their tag so anyone who might be interested can see how they were banned from everything for bad behavior

anyway mostly the reason i'm telling this story is that for some reason i periodically still have to check and make sure they aren't resurfacing somewhere, and i'm trying to figure out how to let it go

it's been long enough, they're not coming back, and they're not going to make it in music so i'm not going to be seeing them pop up randomly in that context either

even if i never completely forget they existed, i don't have to keep anxiety-checking on them

in reply to @SaberaMesia's post:

kinda reminds me of a music person i used to follow who's still taking up space on my bookshelf.

btw, toooooootally unrelated, but if you ever hear a song by Celldweller, Scandroid, or Circle of Dust, and want to hear more, ignore them and go listen to Blue Stahli, instead~
