I'm not amazing at any instrument and I compose by feel more than theory, of which I only know a little, so I spent a little time this morning messing with scales on the piano.
I remembered my right-hand fingering for playing the piano you perverts and sussed out the Cm scale from Am pretty quickly, and then realized that if I switch the first flat in Cm from Eb to Db, I get that very pretty Middle Eastern/Mediterranean sound that I love from Dazil, City of the Burning Sands from Xenogears. I love music so much and I wish I was in a position to make and mess around with music freely most of the time.
