Oh god fuuuuuuuck that fight. I ended up overleveling and just powering through it that way. Weird fucking design choices.
i have been employing the strategy of "if i fling myself across the room enough times eventually i will narrowly avoid being flung across the room by the evil tree" to limited success, a strategy i summed up in a soapstone message with "try resignation"
overleveling would probably be more effective lmao
