Mushrooms are funny little guys and I think it's remarkable that humanity managed to get to the point where we're able to eat them safely. If I were the collective of everyone in history who tried to eat one of those spongey little ground men and got poisoned I certainly wouldn't have persevered until I found one that didn't kill me.
I think one of the best non-food related things mushrooms have done for us is they've given pigs jobs. Pigs have it hard, so giving some of them a chance to get out into nature and do an honest day's work is a really great thing. I hope they're well compensated for their work (not being eaten does NOT count as compensation).
Really don't have much more to say about mushrooms. Are the mushrooms in Mario games legal? The green ones should be, and should be readily available to all who need them but I feel like Mushroom Kingdom doesn't have universal healthcare. The red ones I think probably shouldn't be legal, just anyone being able to double their size could have some dire consequences. A lot to think about, I hope you're listening Toadstool.
