Hey, don't ask me my opinion -- I'm nobody. Just pretend I'm not here.

I mostly just post about things tangentially related to The Simpsons, or Morrowind or The X-COM Files.

Yakuza 3 is lucky the first few chapters are so god damn sweet because man do they drag. Every time the story threatens to happen another orphan has a problem that we need to help them work out and like, you know, I'm HAPPY to they're really nice heartwarming stories but I'm aslo here to PUNCH CRIME MEN. I went out of my way to avoid substories in Okinawa, something I usually never do, because 80% of the plot so far has felt like substories.

I might sound like I'm complaining, and I am a bit, but I really did love all that stuff. I'm almost sad to be back in Kamurocho punching crime men now but I've glimpsed a Majima so I'm happy

I think a lot of problems would have been solved with Yakuza 3 if they realized what the people need is an entire game that's just Kiryu Orphanage Management Dad Simulator and a separate game for Kiryu Punches Tigers. Because I love the stuff in Okinawa, but I completely understand a player feeling frustrated by the sort of blue balling of the yakuza stuff.
