A friend gave me a pile of her old clothes, things that no longer fit her that she hasn't worn in years.
Turns out a lot of them fit me perfectly!
I washed them and tried a bunch on and it's honestly really cool, these aren't pieces I'd have thought to buy for myself but I kinda like them!
Why am I spacing my sentences out like this?
Well because I'm not much of a selfie person - especially at this stage in my life.
But my friend asked me to take some selfies in some of the things I liked to send to her.
And I am very much in a state of 'felt cute might delete later'.
And I don't want to post selfies as the main post images because I'm shy and want anyone who sees them to have had to click through into read more territory.
So.
Here we go.
Disclaimer: I'm hopeless with selfies and don't really have the space or knowhow to take them at all, these aint no glamour shots.
#1: I like this dress a lot!
I was given 5 dresses of this style in various patterns and colours, this was my favourite and damn do I like it. I haven't worn anything so close fitting before but uhh I definitely like it, cool to get to see myself in this way.
#2: The coat
My friend has been trying to find someone to give this to for ages. She loves it but she just outgrew it. Turns out it's a perfect fit for me and it's really cool. It's been in a closet for 5 years though and is 70% wool so I'm gonna have to get it drycleaned.
#3: Vest(?)
Wiped my makeup off for this (I'd just been to a little social do) because this is going straight in my night time relaxation ensemble. This big black vest-thing (does this have a name? Is it just a vest?) is very warm and I instantly chucked it on over my nightie and the chunky shawl cardigan (which is a nice green, dunno why the camera turned it grey) I got the other day which also instantly found its way into my nighttime stuff. I'm so warm in the evenings now.
Bonuses
I'd been to a little social gathering earlier, hence the makeup in the first pics. The same friend who gave me all this nearly died last week of a blood infection. She's fine now, and to celebrate she decided to get people around and have them wear things they never have an excuse to otherwise. I don't have much that I don't wear so in this case I went with a skirt that's shorter than I'd usually like to go out in, and my Yakuza jacket that's way too cool for me.
And that's that! I think these are the first selfies I've posted here since starting transition, or maybe ever I don't know. I don't take selfies much and I don't usually even like sharing pictures of myself but hey I felt great about how I look in these so y'all can have a little treat.
