Oof, thought about Jimmy and the Pulsating Mass again.

I normally listen to music in my car by connecting my phone to the car stereo with a USB charger cable which plays the songs on my phone in completely random order, giving me no more control than skipping or setting it to play an album in random order if I want to hear the album that a song I'm listening to is from.

Anyway, here's what I listened to on my way to work this morning in order:

At time of writing there are 69 hours to go in the Hymn to the Earless God kickstarter campaign and of the $186,957 AUD ($120,000 USD) goal, $139,619 ($89615.69 USD) has been raised. Just 4 hours ago I showed some of my friends where the kickstarter was at.

The numbers in that screenshot are different from the numbers I just told you. That's because in the last 4 hours it's raised $2,304 AUD, that's $576 AUD an hour! Things are starting to look pretty hopeful for the game! If that rate was maintained for the next 69 hours that would be nearly $40,000 AUD raised by the campaign's end, which is... not quite enough! They're going to need a bit more juice, just a bit more momentum to get them over the edge and into successville.

Crowdfunding doesn't happen without the crowd, and of the campaigns I've contributed to I've never wanted one to succeed more than Hymn to the Earless God so I'm doing my gosh darn best to help find that crowd. So for the third(?) time I'm gonna post about this, and I'm gonna implore y'all to throw the kickstarter a buck or two, tell your friends about it. If you liked Jimmy and the Pulsating Mass, if you like oldschool JRPGs, modern takes on oldschool JRPGs, RPGs in general, just good videogames, supporting indie devs, contributing to the creation of art, or whatever then this is the time to buck up and whip out the fliff, or if it's not within your means then to say to someone, "Hey, I saw this game on kickstarter and throught it might be up your alley."

At 5 days to go the campaign's at $69,000 raised out of the $120,000 goal and it might not sound like much but it's picked up a lot of pace over just the last few days! If this pace is maintained and built upon, funding can be reached and we'll be guaranteed the best version of the game that could exist.

If you haven't backed it yet, please seriously consider doing so! If you have already backed, and it doesn't put you out, consider increasing your pledge! Higher pledge tiers have been added with new rewards in the past few days so if you've got the fliff to spare check them out.

Jimmy and the Pulsating Mass is a downright special game which deserves all of the praise and more that I can give it and I want to see what its creator can do next with the funding needed to pay for the professional artists he's bringing on.
