supremely uninterested in anything the wrong Sarah Z has had to say since "the pink triangle is an AIDS symbol"
yeah her work was pretty transparently clickbait fandom drama nonsense masquerading as "serious journalism" even before she knifed my girlfriend in the fucking back
did not know about the knifing but I can't say I'm astonished. (and I should probably leave it at that, on a public post, but I deleted a LOT OF WORDS just now.)
I've been really curious about this because I've never gotten a straight answer or explanation from anyone on this, and sorry if I'm touching on something personal, but what exactly happened with the whole Homestuck video fiasco?
sarah (my girlfriend, the good one) says it's "way too complicated and stupid to get into". idk. zero journalistic integrity? helping boost the weird stalker/chaser side of the fandom to even more power? using trans women including my girlfriend as shields from criticism while attacking trans women we care about who to be clear were no longer employed by WP?
it sort of doesn't matter. they won the narrative war and that's not gonna change.
still fucking bitter about it though.
Thanks for explaining that much.
God, youtubers really tire me out. The worst experience I had with one was that one who ran a content farm pretending to be a leftist who used being called out for plagiarism as a way to get ahead of the curve and slander some other creators and former victims of her abuse, who she was apparently stalking with alt accounts and actual paid people for years.
this is why i've become such a recluse. people are fucking mad on this damnable internet of ours
I feel like there's all kinds of weird shit like that going on that we mostly don't know anything about lol. the other side of that blade being: boy a lot of content creation online is personality and network driven and I feel like being too out of the loop to know all the drama also means we're cut out of a lot of the networks of promotion 🤷♀️
Yeah, I gave up on that a long time ago and managed to get a day job. Still working on articles and youtube videos for my own enjoyment, which is why my three hour long video essay about a PG rated fetish game is taking so long because I decided I am getting more enjoyment of doing six playthroughs of a Pathfinder CRPG instead.
I might have ADHD or something and did not realize for almost my entire life, and that alone has cut me off from a lot of avenues. Getting the job I have was just pure luck.
