Ah yes, a Haiku documenting the over prescription of ineffective medication for ASD kids. Particularly SSRI's and various second-line tranquilizers (anti-psychotics, benzo's, etc) to better 'regulate' the undesired behaviors. Got a nervous tic? A stutter? Maybe dare I say it... a vocal tic?

The emoji seems like a real cheat. It's true that it has no pronunciation, and thus adds no syllables. But it's definitely critical to the intended meaning of the poem, and it feels against the spirit of the 5-7-5 count form to do that.
oh for sure it's a cheat. its funny, the target audience would have understood either way, but i definitely would not have gotten the implication without the emoji
