talking to Sarah last night while we couldn't sleep cause we were wired about New Doctor Who, we realized that it's been actual years since we last anticipated a new episode of a serial story like this, and it's... kind of because Netflix made tv viewing shitty and unfun for like a decade. turns out when you just sorta shit your extruded tv product in 8 episode blasts onto your platform there's no way to build like an actual sense of anticipation for each new part of your story, and there's no way to build a community around upd8 culture! oops!

anyway thank you Rusty Davies for reminding everyone that serial tv can in fact be good and fun to watch and be a fan of
