i saw a post that mentioned using a neocities site just for image hosting and i've done that for the last few images i posted. i think i can see what you were trying to do (overlaying the sketch on top of the finished product and providing a handle to move the cutoff point?), its pretty cool
also i super duper feel the "potentially ruining a good sketch". did you photocopy just to keep a good copy of the sketch and ink over the original or did you keep the original and do some other sort of fancy wizard trick with the photocopy? i feel like im misunderstanding some part of that, asking bc i would genuinely love to know a good trick for inking w/o ruining/erasing the sketch
yeah it should be working actually, it IS working on my end at least. I should've put the width of the overlay halfway across the image probably but I forgot, since I was so focused on just getting the images to show up. oops. next time...
I photocopied the original sketch and then used my light table with the photocopy behind the clean page in my sketchbook and just traced over the photocopy! I think I did essentially redo the pencils rather than jump straight to inks but I honestly don't quite remember now. I think I must have because I think I noted down in pencil which of the copic inks I wanted to use for each panel background in the middle row.
Ohhh a light table. Lit. Makes sense. I haven't seen one since I was in a high school art class, though ironically I was literally just complaining about not having a light table yesterday
