Finished moving the last few buckets of dirt to the beds, and then planted the last of the seedlings, seeds, and the cauliflower and brussels I bought because I'll be damned if I ever start those things soon enough. I even seeded the perimeter felt pots with pollinator favorites (nasturtiums, borage, sweet pea, a funky poppy I thought was cool, columbine, and something else).
I need to spend the next few days catching up on other work I've neglected, but future tasks include:
- Make a watering chart so my roommate and I can keep track of who and how much
- Building trellises for the all of the beans, cantaloupe, luffa, and cucumbers
- Building a special frame for tomatoes (maybe Florida weave? unsure)
- Set up netting frame for brassicas and lettuceseseses
- Maybe set up some plant fabric for strawberries? We'll see how eager the local chipmunks are
- Fight that mulberry tree stump to the goddamn death
- Turn space where mulberry tree was into a composting spot
- Find out how to store seeds because I clearly have A Few Leftover
